So I started this series recently and enjoyed the first two. . . . Decided to continue and saw I'd ordered this two years ago. It wasn't in my library anymore so I assumed I read it and deleted it. So being the curious person I am I went ahead and ordered it, only a dollar you know, and watch the series continue.

So now that I've refreshed my memory, I can say I did read this one two years ago. . . . Without the background of the other series books. While I enjoyed Grieg's background and story as well as meeting Sabrina, the sex overshadows the storyline. The mating sex is important but once they become 'beloveds' their lives changed. Grieg had to go through training and we only hear about it second hand. They settle in the bear den and a home built - All that is glossed over but the sex is in Technicolor and detailed down to the last roar. Now maybe others enjoy that type of thing in their story but I like character development and more meat. And my question when the story was over. What in the heck happened to Red? He just disappears, never mentioned again, not even when Grieg goes through training. You'd think they meet up again - I bet there aren't that many hunters and as the story was told, Red and Sabrina had worked some cases together for decades. It's really odd that he was a co-worker and friend and then he's forgotten in the mad sex. - Dan's Wife

As always R.E. Butler does not disappoint and delivers another amazing installment in this Wiccan-Were-Bear series. You get caught up on all the characters we've grown to love and finally find out what happened to Griegs. Sabrina is a vampire who is also a vampire hunter. She rescues Griegs who was being held captive and was forced to fight in were animal fighting matches. They were mates and both felt it instantly. Read how they fall in love with each other and how Griegs finally goes home and reunites with his family. This is definitely one of my top 3 favorite series of all time. Can't wait for the next installment! ;)
4 out of 5 stars, two mates/beloveds find each other in very unusual circumstances and make sure they are able to stay together now matter what. I loved this sweet erotica and how quickly Sabrina and Griegs' lives come together! Plus, for not reading the previously published books in this series, I found I was able to follow along very well without any issues. I hope Sabrina and Griegs will be in or mentioned in the coming novels because I liked them so much I want to be kept updated on them! =0)

I recommend this novel to anyone who likes sweet erotic paranormal romances!

A Bead of Blood wraps up the StalkingHorse siblings sotries. A fun fast and steamy read. Loved Greigs and Sabrina's story. Greigs StalkingHourse disapperared 2 year ago after Elizabeth, the witch he thought he was in love with mated his brothers Axe and Ash. Sabrina Chalice is a natural born vampire who works for the Vampire Council as a Hunter traching and bringing rogue vampires to justice. Sabrina comes across an illegal were fighting ring and rescues Greigs. Love the Bear Den and nice visit with the StalkingHorse clan, even Deaton. I love this series. I love these type short stories for a quick realxing read.
griegs is an idiot or was, you can't demand tradition if you don't follow it yourself. Love the vamp badass and unlike the woman in the previous books she wasn't stripped of her badass status by overbearing guys. Hate that guys don't have to be that way it is NOT in our nature, it is a learned, cultural behavior.
I did enjoy the story. I thought there should have been more to The Doc than there was. That was kinda too quick even for me. I mean it was at the very beginning of the book and that was all the conflict there was until the very end when Griegs actually becomes a Hunter like Sabrina and goes out to settle a vampire dispute. Their story was sweet and predictable. She was pretty much all in so no conflict between her and Griegs at all. Not that I wish for conflict but its nice that sometimes it just isnt so easy and she makes him work for it a little ha. I sorta wanted her to be more feisty to match him a little more. He's a dominant bear of course I guess I assumed she would at least be a little like him in regards to her being a deadly Hunter and all. I dont think there was ever a time she disagreed with him. Not the best of the series but pretty good.
Sabrina is a Vampire that hunts other Vampires. She takes care of the Vampires that are doing wrong. She is a born Vampire not a turned one. Sabrina and her demon friend Red are on a mission to find some missing were's. When the trail leads to a Vampire run, illegal were/human fighting ring, she breaks it up and finds Griegs. She knows that he is her one true mate.

Griegs disappeared after Elizabeth's collar didn't choose him. What he didn't intend on was disappearing for so long. He just went to think and got abducted. When he seen Sabrina in danger he found the strength to rip off the collar that prevented him from shifting to save her. She is his mate and he has to keep herself. He knows that he needs to talk to his family and make amends with Elizabeth and his brothers.

My opinion I have been waiting for this book. I have been wondering what had happened to Griegs. This is the only book in the series so far where there is no ménage. I love Sabrina's character. I love a woman who can kick some butt. I like her reasoning for becoming a hunter and I think that it is great how quickly she is able to fit in with Griegs family. I feel that even though these are such short books the author still gives you enough for it to be a really good story. It is a whirlwind romance with some great intimate scenes. This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone and I definitely suggest reading.
