I generally like alternative versions of well-known characters. I've always been a fan of Elseworlds-type takes, and this one is much in that line. Overall, I really like it, although there are a couple of niggling things that bother me. I'm not overly crazy about the art work. It's a little too cartoony for me. I'm not sure why there is such a fascination with making Supergirl so naive. Bombshells seemed to do this as well. And I am really over the whole 'Batman can beat everyone' idea. Sorry, but no. There is no way Batman stands up to Big Barda in a hand to hand scrap. She is a trained warrior, and powerful. No.... just... no. I used to be a huge fan of Batman, but the trend of making him able to take out everyone, even the ridiculously powerful, is ludicrous. Other than those points, I enjoyed this and look forward to more filling in of the backstory as the tale continues.Tags : Amazon.com: Gotham City Garage Vol. 1 (9781401280192): Collin Kelley, Jackson Lanzing, Brian Ching: Books,Collin Kelley, Jackson Lanzing, Brian Ching,Gotham City Garage Vol. 1,DC Comics,1401280196,Dystopian,COMICS & GRAPHIC NOVELS Superheroes.,Comic books, strips, etc.,Comics (Graphic works),Dystopian comics,Dystopias,Superhero comics,Superheroes,COMICS & GRAPHIC NOVELS Dystopian,COMICS & GRAPHIC NOVELS Superheroes,COMICS & GRAPHIC NOVELS Superheroes (see also FICTION Superheroes),Comics & Graphic Novels,Comics & Graphic NovelsDystopian,Fiction,Fiction-Superheroes,GRAPHIC NOVELS,GRAPHIC WORKS FICTION,General Adult,ReadingsAnthologiesCollected Works,Serials, 1st only,United States,dc universe;dc comics;gotham city garage;batman;batgirl;supergirl;catwoman;wonder woman;gotham;comics;superhero;superheroes;geek;nerd;graphic novels for adults;graphic novels;comic books;graphic novel;dystopian fiction;geek gifts;graphic novels for kids 12-15;nerd gifts;comic book;dystopian;superhero books;graphic novels for teens;superhero book;superhero comics;comics and graphic novels;gifts for comic book fans;comic book gifts;gifts for comic book lovers;comic gifts;comic;movies;pop culture,dc universe; dc comics; gotham city garage; batman; collin kelley; batgirl; supergirl; catwoman; wonder woman; gotham; superhero; superheroes; comics; graphic novels; comic books; graphic novel; graphic novels for adults; geek gifts; graphic novels for kids 12-15; geek; comic book; graphic novels for teens; nerd; superhero books; nerd gifts; superhero book; dystopian; superhero comics; gifts for comic book lovers; comic gifts; comic book gifts; gifts for comic book fans; sci-fi; comic; dystopia; girl power; demons; pop culture

Loved a different take of the female side of comics in a completely new way.
